TERMS OF SERVICE
Studio Glide Pilates – General Terms & Conditions
Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before purchasing or attending any class, workshop or event at Studio Glide Pilates.
By making a purchase, booking or participating in a session at Studio Glide Pilates, you agree to the terms outlined below.
These Terms & Conditions apply to all clients, including members, class pack holders, drop-in attendees, introductory or promotional offer users and workshop or event attendees.
Memberships – Minimum Commitment Period
All memberships require a minimum commitment of 3 months from the date of purchase unless otherwise expressly stated at the time of purchase.
Cancellations are not ordinarily permitted during the initial 3-month commitment period.
After the initial 3-month commitment, memberships continue on a rolling monthly basis and automatically renew each month until cancelled in accordance with the cancellation policy below.
Memberships – Monthly Class Allowance
Memberships include a set number and type of classes per membership period.
All membership credits must be used within the applicable monthly billing period.
Unused classes do not roll over to the following month and cannot be refunded, transferred or exchanged for cash.
Clients are responsible for scheduling and attending their classes within the applicable membership period.
Membership Cancellation
After completing the initial 3-month commitment, memberships may be cancelled by providing one month's notice prior to your membership payment date.
For example, if your membership payment is due on 1 March and you do not wish to be charged on 1 April, notice must be provided before the 1 March payment.
Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to info@studioglidepilates.com.
Cancelling future class bookings, removing or cancelling your payment method, or simply no longer attending classes does not constitute cancellation of your membership.
Membership Changes, Freezes & Extensions
Membership upgrades or downgrades are permitted only after the initial 3-month commitment period and are subject to availability and Studio Glide approval.
Memberships cannot ordinarily be paused, frozen or extended.
We understand that exceptional circumstances can arise. Any request for a membership freeze or extension will be considered individually and remains entirely at Studio Glide's discretion. Supporting evidence may be requested where appropriate.
Membership Payments
Membership fees are collected automatically using the payment method provided at the time of purchase.
Clients are responsible for ensuring that their payment details remain valid and that sufficient funds are available.
If a membership payment fails, Studio Glide reserves the right to suspend membership access, credits and future bookings until any outstanding payment has been successfully collected.
Class Packs
Class packs provide access to the number and type of classes specified at the time of purchase.
Class packs are valid for 2 months from the date of purchase, unless a different validity period is expressly stated at the time of purchase.
Class packs are non-transferable and non-refundable, except where otherwise required by law.
Class packs cannot ordinarily be paused or extended due to travel, illness or personal circumstances. Any exception remains entirely at Studio Glide's discretion.
Clients are responsible for using all sessions before the stated expiry date.
Unused credits have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash.
Drop-Ins & Introductory Offers
Drop-in sessions and introductory or promotional offers are subject to the specific terms displayed at the time of purchase.
Purchases are non-refundable and non-transferable except where otherwise required by law.
Introductory offers are limited to one per eligible client unless expressly stated otherwise.
All credits must be used within the validity period specified at the time of purchase and are subject to class availability.
Class Types & Locations
Studio Glide may offer different class categories, including Reformer, Mat Pilates, Barre, Yoga and other formats.
Memberships, class packs, introductory offers and individual credits may be restricted to particular class types or Studio Glide locations.
A credit or membership for one class category does not automatically provide access to another class category.
Clients are responsible for ensuring that the credit, class pack or membership they purchase is suitable for the class type and location they wish to attend.
Booking & Class Availability
Classes can ordinarily be booked up to 3 weeks in advance through our online booking system.
Purchasing a membership, class pack or credit does not guarantee availability in any particular class, time slot, location or with any particular instructor.
All classes are subject to availability.
Waitlists
Clients may join a waitlist where a class is fully booked.
If a space becomes available and you are automatically added to the class, that booking becomes subject to our standard cancellation and no-show policies.
It is the client's responsibility to monitor their bookings and waitlist status.
Class Cancellation Policy
Classes must be cancelled at least 12 hours before the scheduled class start time for the credit to be returned to your account.
Cancellations made less than 12 hours before the scheduled start time will be treated as a late cancellation and the class credit will be forfeited.
No-Shows
Failure to attend a booked class without cancelling will be treated as a no-show and the applicable class credit will be forfeited.
Repeated late cancellations or no-shows may result in restricted booking privileges.
Late Arrival Policy
Studio Glide operates a strict 5-minute late arrival policy.
If you arrive more than 5 minutes after the scheduled class start time, you will not be permitted to join the class and your class credit will be forfeited.
This policy is in place for both safety and consideration of the rest of the class. Once the first five minutes have passed, the warm-up will have been completed. Joining the class after this point means you have not been appropriately warmed up for the exercises being performed and may therefore be unsafe.
Late entry is also disruptive to the instructor and the other clients already participating in the class.
This policy applies to all clients regardless of membership or booking type.
We strongly recommend arriving at the studio at least five minutes before your scheduled class time to allow time to check in and prepare.
Workshops & Special Events
Advance booking and full payment are required at the time of registration.
Unless otherwise stated for a particular event, cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled event are non-refundable.
If Studio Glide cancels or reschedules an event, an appropriate credit, alternative date or refund will be provided where applicable.
Studio Access & Guests
Only clients with a valid booking are permitted to participate in classes.
Guests, children and pets are not permitted within the studio unless explicitly permitted for a particular class, appointment or event.
All clients must check in before participating in a class.
Grip Socks
Grip socks must be worn in all classes where required by Studio Glide for hygiene and safety purposes.
If you arrive without suitable grip socks, you will be required to purchase a pair before participating. Grip socks are available for purchase at the studio, subject to availability.
If you are unable or unwilling to wear the required grip socks, you will not be permitted to participate and your class credit will be forfeited.
Studio Etiquette & Safety
Clients must wear appropriate clothing and follow all reasonable instructions provided by Studio Glide instructors and staff.
Mobile phones must be kept on silent or airplane mode during class and should not be used on the studio floor unless agreed with the instructor for an emergency, accessibility or medical reason.
Clients must use Studio Glide equipment only as instructed and exercise within their own abilities.
Health, Injuries & Medical Conditions
Participation in Studio Glide classes involves physical exercise and is undertaken voluntarily.
Clients are responsible for ensuring they are physically able to participate safely.
You must inform your instructor before class of any injury, illness, medical condition, recent surgery or other circumstance that may affect your ability to exercise safely.
Clients should seek appropriate medical advice before participating where necessary.
You must stop exercising and inform your instructor if you experience pain, dizziness, faintness, unusual shortness of breath or any other concerning symptoms.
Studio Glide instructors reserve the right to modify an exercise or ask a client to stop participating where they reasonably believe continuing could pose a risk to the client or others.
Pregnancy & Postnatal Participation
Clients who are pregnant, believe they may be pregnant, have recently given birth or are returning to exercise following pregnancy must inform their instructor before participating.
Clients are responsible for obtaining appropriate medical advice or clearance where necessary.
Studio Glide instructors may provide modifications or recommend that a client does not perform a particular exercise or participate in a particular class where they reasonably believe this would be safer.
Illness
Please do not attend Studio Glide if you are suffering from a contagious illness or condition that could reasonably pose a risk to other clients or staff.
Studio Glide reserves the right to refuse participation where we reasonably believe that participation could present a health or safety risk to the client or others.
Assumption of Risk & Liability
Participation in Pilates, Reformer Pilates, Barre, Yoga and other physical activities involves inherent risks, which may include muscular strains, sprains, falls, aggravation of existing injuries or medical conditions and other injuries associated with physical exercise or equipment.
By choosing to participate, clients acknowledge and voluntarily accept the ordinary and inherent risks associated with physical exercise.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits Studio Glide's liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability which cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Minimum Age
Clients must be at least 16 years old to participate in Studio Glide classes unless otherwise expressly agreed by Studio Glide.
Clients under 18 must have the appropriate consent of a parent or legal guardian and may be required to provide a signed waiver.
Personal Belongings
Clients are responsible for their own belongings while attending Studio Glide.
To the extent permitted by law, Studio Glide accepts no responsibility for personal belongings that are lost, stolen or damaged on the premises.
Transferability
Memberships, class packs, credits and bookings are personal to the individual who purchased them.
They may not be shared, transferred, resold or reassigned to another person.
Schedule, Instructor & Class Changes
Studio Glide reserves the right to make reasonable changes to class timetables, instructors, class formats and services.
We do not guarantee that a particular class, instructor, time slot or number of weekly classes will remain permanently available.
Instructor substitutions and reasonable timetable changes do not ordinarily entitle clients to a refund or additional credit.
Studio Cancellations & Emergency Closures
Studio Glide may occasionally need to cancel classes or close a studio due to instructor illness, maintenance, weather, emergencies or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
If Studio Glide cancels a class you have booked, the applicable class credit will be returned to your account.
Where appropriate, we will make reasonable efforts to notify affected clients as soon as possible.
Code of Conduct
Studio Glide is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, welcoming and respectful environment.
Aggressive, abusive, discriminatory, threatening, disruptive, inappropriate or unsafe behaviour towards Studio Glide staff, instructors or other clients will not be tolerated.
Studio Glide reserves the right to refuse entry, ask a client to leave, restrict future bookings or suspend or terminate access or membership where these terms are seriously or repeatedly breached.
Any action taken will be subject to applicable consumer law.
Privacy
Personal information is processed in accordance with Studio Glide's Privacy Policy and applicable UK data protection legislation.
Where separate consent is required for photography, videography or marketing use, this will be obtained separately.
Changes to Prices & Terms
Studio Glide reserves the right to change its prices, memberships, class packs and these Terms & Conditions from time to time.
Where a change materially affects an existing recurring membership, reasonable advance notice will be provided where required.
Changes will be made in accordance with applicable consumer law.
Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Nothing within these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.
Agreement
By purchasing, booking or participating in a Studio Glide class, membership, workshop or event, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms & Conditions and any applicable Studio Glide Participation Waiver.
