What is Reformer Pilates?
Reformer Pilates is a low-impact, full-body workout performed on a reformer machine. It focuses on strength, flexibility, and control using spring-based resistance. At Studio Glide, our method blends classical principles with dynamic movement to suit all fitness levels.
Is it suitable for beginners?
Absolutely! We welcome all levels—from complete beginners to experienced movers. We would recommend starting with our “SIGNATURE” class method but our instructors offer modifications and guidance throughout the class to ensure you feel confident and supported.
What types of classes do you offer?
We offer three class types to suit different goals and energy levels:
SIGNATURE – A classical-style Reformer class focusing on alignment and control.
STRENGTH – An intense but low-impact workout that blends strength, endurance, and core stability using controlled, time-under-tension movements.
SWEAT – A blend of high-energy jump board intervals on the carriage with grounded floor movements designed to keep your heart rate elevated.
THE MAMA METHOD - A safe, supportive space to move, connect, and rebuild - designed especially for mums, by mums. This pre and postnatal-safe class focuses on gentle strength-building, mobility, and core connection, helping you feel strong, confident, and empowered in your body. You’re welcome to bring your baby along and as long as they’re pre-crawling

What should I bring to class?
Just bring yourself, grippy socks (available to purchase in-studio), and a water bottle. We provide everything else you’ll need for your session.
What should I wear?
Wear comfortable, form-fitting activewear that allows you to move freely. Avoid zippers or buttons that could damage the reformer.
How long are the classes?
Each class is 50 minutes long, designed to give you a complete workout without taking over your day.
Where is Studio Glide located?
We’re located on Banstead High Street, Surrey, easily accessible by foot, car, or public transport.
Is there parking available?
Yes, there is nearby public parking available within a short walking distance of the studio. You can park on the road or there is also pay and display parking in Waitrose.
How do I book a class?
Booking is quick and easy through our online booking system. Book your class here
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
We have a 12-hour cancellation policy. You can cancel or reschedule your class online via your Momence log in.
Cancellations made within 12 hours of the class will result in the loss of a credit or payment, depending on your booking type.
Can I try a class before committing?
Yes! We offer a First Time Pass for new clients. It's a great way to experience Studio Glide before joining regularly.
Can I attend a class pregnant?
If you are pregnant and past 12 weeks, please book into a pre-and post-natal class and please consult with your doctor before attending any class.
How big are the classes?
Our classes are a maximum of 10 people.
Can I film in the studio?
Filming is not permitted during class to ensure a respectful and focused environment for all participants. If you would like to request permission to film outside of class hours, please speak with studio staff in advance.
